  • I'm sorry I have not updated at all since I've been to England. But come on, if you were in England having fun and didn't have your own computer, you wouldn't update either. Besides, if you are a close friend you get updates via e-mail anyhow. So.... unless something really great happens, I'll just stick to e-mails and pictures uploaded onto facebook. mmmkay?

New layout and picture! A fresh new look for summer! I'm soooo excited, because it is as of now only 9 days until I go to England to be with my precious Robert. Well, almost 8 days as it is 11:52 pm. I'm incredibly happy! Not much else to say, except for that tomorrow I get to eat lunch with one of my bestest friends, Amy, that I have not seen since December! And on Thursday I am going shopping with my mother and Danielle for bridesmaid dresses. Life is good!

Today I watched the scariest show ever! It was called, well, I can't remember exactly, something about "sports mom and dads". The premise was to follow around these obsessed and over-involved parents and their children at sporting events, and let the insanity ensue. So, they were with this mother and her 7 year old daughter at cheerleading competitons! I watched in horror as this 7 year old girl pranced around in skimpy clothing - she doesn't even have a shape to flaunt yet for crying in the mud - and wear this horredous glittery make-up all over her eye lids and lips. Agh. And her mother was so happy about this, cheering her on. Poor kid. I mean, children should be involved in things they enjoy, but why not gymnastics? It's the same thing minus the sick outfits and gobs of make-up. She's only 7, and they have her and her little friends doing these overtly sexy moves. Eww, it was a pedophiles playground!

Anyway, aside from the show being scary, it also got me thinking about girls and the messages they are being sent today. I mean, this girls mother was already giving a message to her daughter that it's okay to dress in tight, revealing clothing, and use wayyyy to much make-up for the enjoyment of others! Instead of letting her know that she's a beautiful creation of God. Not some doll to be made up and clapped at. Oh well, this could turn into a big rant. I'll spare you all!

Today was an interesting day. Me, my grandma, dad, and mom all went out to Preston to visit relatives. Preston is a small farming community on the outskirts of Brookings, so on the way we passed many farms. Now, most of you know that I love animals, so of course I was oohing and awwing all the way there. Particularily at the sheep. I really wanted to pet them! So dad finally pulled over and let me go and see if I could persuade the sheep to let me pet them. This is what happened -

Needless to say, they didn't let me pet them.
